Child Nutrition
Pacifica School Districts Child Nutrition Department operates 6 student cafeterias, one in each school where we provide a daily breakfast and lunch. Our school kitchens have a team of highly trained staff, with food safety and customer service as the highest priority. The Child Nutrition Services team works together to develop healthy and appetizing meals for the students. These meals are analyzed, and the recipes are adjusted to ensure they meet USDA nutrition guidelines for each age group for calories, sodium, saturated fat, and whole wheat flour.
We are happy to share the news that for this school year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will continue to provide free school meals for all children younger than 18 years of age through the California Universal Meal Program. Through this program, one breakfast and one lunch will be provided to each student. Although meals are free, every family is encouraged to complete the Alternate Income Form. The information provided helps determine state and federal funding levels, ensuring your school receives the resources needed to enhance your child's learning environment. Here is the link to complete the application. EZMealApplication. Only one application per household is needed.
