The
Pacifica School District is a district of choice. Students
may choose to attend kindergarten through eighth grade
at Cabrillo, Ocean
Shore, or Vallemar
School. Two school sites, Ortega,
and Sunset Ridge,
offer kindergarten through fifth grades with those students
attending Ingrid
B. Lacy Middle School for grades six through eight.

Coordinated
tour dates will be set up so that families may tour more
than one school in a day.

| Pacifica
School District staff is committed to helping all children
learn. Many programs and services are in place which are
designed to enable children to be successful. In spite
of these efforts, some students still struggle. The process
described below is designed to identify and assist those
children who are struggling to meet their grade level
standards. |

The
Pacifica School District offers a mid-year kindergarten
program during the second semester of the school year.
The mid-year program is designed to promote school readiness,
emphasizing social skills. Students attending the mid-year
program will attend kindergarten in the fall.
