The
Pacifica School District Governing Board recognizes
that students who reside in one district may choose
to attend school in another district and that such choices
are made for a variety of reasons. Upon request by students'
parents/guardians, the Superintendent or designee may
approve interdistrict attendance permits with other
districts on a case-by-case basis to meet individual
student needs.

Pacifica
School District staff is committed to helping all children
learn. Many programs and services are in place which are
designed to enable children to be successful. In spite
of these efforts, some students still struggle. The process
described below is designed to identify and assist those
children who are struggling to meet their grade level
standards.

Transitional
kindergarten (TK) is the first year of a two-year kindergarten
program that uses a modified curriculum that is age
and developmentally appropriate. TK bridges the gap
between California Preschool Learning Foundations and
Kindergarten Standards, giving children more time for
hands-on, interactive learning.
