Standards Based Reporting

PSD is reforming its grade reporting to reflect its coverage of the California State Standards. Choose a grade to see its proposed report card. The explanation of grading marks is below.

These marks are used to indicate a student's grade-level proficiency, based on the California Content Standards for Public Schools.

1 = Student is making minimal progress towards grade-level expectations. The student is working below grade-level.
2 = Student is making progress towards the standard for the grade-level. The students is beginning to grasp and apply key concepts, processes, and skills for the grade-level.
3 = Student is meeting standard. Demonstrates proficiency in the majority of the standards for the grade-level. Student, with limited errors, grasps and applies concepts, processes, and skills for the grade-level. Students are expected to meet or exceed a standard of 3 by the end of the year.
4 = Student consistently exceeds the standards for the grade-level. Student, with relative ease, grasps, applies, and extends key concepts, processes, and skills above grade-level.
