Trainings
Pacifica School Volunteers offers free trainings to give volunteers
tools and strategies to help children in the classroom. The
following workshops are available during the school year:
Math
Trainings: This training is designed to help parents
and volunteers learn ways to assist Kindergarten through 8th
grade students who are struggling with math.
Literacy
Trainings: This training is designed to help volunteers
and parents learn skills and strategies to assist Kindergarten
through 5th grade students in reading and writing.
Help
Your Child Succeed in School Workshops: These trainings
are designed for parents of students who are struggling in
school and volunteers who help students with organization
and study skills. They are scheduled according to grade level
and geographic location. Kindergarten through 5th grade workshops
are held at the Pacifica School District office and Sunset
Ridge Elementary School. A 6th through 8th grade workshop
is held at Ingrid B. Lacy Middle School.
