Procedures for Fields/Facilities

The purpose of this page is to inform you of the procedures that must be followed by sports leagues and organizations using Pacifica School District's fields or gymnasium/Multi-purpose Rooms.

1. Availability of fields/facilities may be checked on the Pacifica School District web page by clicking on Calendars then Facilities.

2. A Facilities Use form is acquired from the District office or school site, filled out in its entirety by persons authorized by their prospective league/organization to do so.

3. The completed form is mailed or hand-delivered directly to the school site at which activity is to take place, for Principal's approval.

4. The form is then sent to the District office by the school for approval from the District's Facilities Manager.

5. Upon approval, the prospective organization/league will be required to produce documentation showing proof of insurance. If no proof of insurance is obtained, your application becomes null and void.

6. It is the responsibility of the league/organization to see to it that all involved coaches/supervisors carry a copy of the approved form when using the field/facility.

7. It is the District’s responsibility to maintain the fields. Sports Leagues/Organizations are not authorized or permitted to mow the fields or adjust the irrigation systems. All Soccer goals must be secured when in use and removed from the field after usage and secured to fence or they will be removed. All porta potti’s must be secured to fence or they will be removed.

8. The outdoor rates will be $35.00 for half day and $50.00 for full day. The indoor rates will be $30.00 for half day and $45 for full day. The Ingrid B. Lacy Gymnasium will be $45.00 per hour.

9. Failure to pay assigned fees for facilities usage per the invoice due date will result in the suspension of the facilities use permit.

Failure of strict adherence to Pacifica School District's policies as described on the Facilities Use Permit, and/or failure to produce permit upon request by PSD personnel, will result in revocation of said permit for entire league/organization.

 

2007-2008 Holidays

This is to notify you that NO BUILDING USE will be allowed for the following school holidays:

Veteran's Day November 12, 2007
Thanksgiving Recess:  November 21 - November 23, 2007
Winter Recess: December 24 - January 4, 2008
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day:  January 21, 2008
President's Week: February 18 - 22, 2008
Spring Recess:  April 14 - April 18, 2008
Memorial Day:  May 26, 2008
Independence Day:  July 4, 2008
Labor Day:  September 3, 2008
 All schools are closed on the above listed days; therefore, no staff will be available to accommodate your needs.
