Library

  • The Library/Media Center is a beautiful facility with many uses. In addition to housing a growing collection of books, we also have other interesting things that happen here.
  • We have a computer with direct access to the Peninsula Library System. If the student cannot find the book that he or she wants in our library, that student can go on-line to the public library catalog http://www.plsinfo.org, find the book and have it delivered to Ingrid B. Lacy. (The student must have a public library card, and key in a PIN number from the back of the card.) To return the book, the student must simply put the book in the book drop slot and it will be returned to the Peninsula Library System. There is no charge for this service.
  • The Ingrid B. Lacy Library/Media Center has an electronic card catalog system. This enables a student to search by title, author or subject. In addition, the students have access to the Follett on-line Websites. These websites are maintained by Follett, and have accurate and timely information.
  • The library staff consists of a Library/Media technician, Helen Davis, and 22 volunteers as well as staff from the Boys and Girls Club, who run the Homework Center. The Homework Center takes place in the Library, Monday-Thursday after school.
