Ingrid B. Lacy Middle School Information

A demanding academic program
includes advanced placement/honors and support classes in math and language
arts. Student test scores, previous report card grades, and teacher
recommendations are used to determine the appropriate placement for each
student. Elective classes include art,
music, yearbook, peer
helpers, leadership, applied technology, and foreign languages. GATE
programming is also offered for advances placement students. Sixth grade
special activities include an archeological dig, Greek Fest, and museum trips.
Seventh graders can participate in two week-long study trips to Yosemite and
Catalina Island. Eighth graders can visit Boston, New York City, or Washington,
D.C..
